Bayshore enhances northern nursing with Sécuri-Soins

Bayshore has acquired Montreal-based Sécuri-Soins to become the Quebec branch’s Northern Nursing branch, increasing its network of medical professionals in remote locations. “This acquisition allows Bayshore to better position itself for medical services within the mining industry and take a more important role in the training of northern nurses,” says Phil Grant, Area Director, Quebec.
Jean-Sébastien Berlinguette, founder and former president of Sécuri-Soins, is the program manager, and Corinne Rowe is the Northern Nursing Program coordinator. Sécuri-Soins also provides staffing for preventative community care and emergency care for First Nations and remote villages across northern Quebec.
“Sécuri-Soins allows us to better serve northern communities and the private sector,” says Grant. “I think that Sécuri-Soins was also at a stage where, in order to grow, it needed the know-how and abilities of a well-established pan-Canadian company like Bayshore.”
