The Data Reporting Analyst is responsible for everything data related for a single Pharmaceutical Program. This includes Defining the report requirements, quality of the reports, data quality reviews, creating all reports for the Pharmaceutical program, analyzing the reports and providing trends, insights and action plans as it relates to the program.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of data and IT skills, an inquisitive mind, and a demonstrated ability to present complex data in a clear and concise format
Duties and Responsibilities
•Automating existing manual reports; so that they can be run without significant manual intervention
•Managing the process of ensuring data availability & accuracy
•Creating new or adhoc reports to support the Program Manager and the team’s ability to effectively manage and monitor the program.
•Collaborating with employees across the organization to ensure data needs are met, including troubleshooting various data sources and databases
•Generating and distributing reports internally and to clients. Formulating and communicating meaningful and actionable recommendations
•Ensure deadlines are met for all reporting commitments
•Implementing & monitoring that adequate controls are in place to validate all data is captured and information is accurate
•Working in partnership with IT and Business Area to ensure data extracts are performing to specifications and data downloads from the mainframe are complete
•5-8 years’ experience working with complex data sets.
•5-8 years’ experience in analyzing and presenting results to stakeholders and clients
•5+ years’ experience with VB, SQL, ETL or other scripting tools
•5+ years’ experience with analytical tools such as Minitab, TIBCO, Qlikview, microstrategy, or similar
•Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
•5+ years of advanced Excel and MS Access skills
•Experience working with pharmaceutical data is an asset
Education•Bachelor degree in information technology, statistics or data analysis
