Bayshore Home Health and CareAlert partner to promote myNurse programMississauga, ON, Sept. 20, 2010 – CareAlert Canada customers who purchase myNurse and home care services from Bayshore Home Health are now receiving rebates of up to $100 on safety and security products including the Smart Dialer and Key Safe Lock. myNurse is a new health management program that lets people arrange monthly or quarterly home visits by a registered nurse who provides in-home health and wellness consulations, monitoring, planning and education. The service is a way to prolong independent living among seniors, especially those with chronic health conditions. It can also be used by people of all ages who have health conditions that must be closely monitored, mobility issues which make it difficult to visit their family doctor, or who are among the more than four million Canadians without a family doctor. CareAlert is a Canadian company that provides personal safety and security products that enable seniors to remain in their own home longer. The Smart Dialer is a personalized emergency alert system that is easy to set up and programmed for five emergency numbers by the user. Help is available at the press of a button, allowing two-way communications with trusted emergency contacts. The Key Safe Lock allows a house key to be securely stored outside the home to allow emergency responders to enter when needed. There are no monitoring fees or contracts for CareAlert products, which can be purchased online, by mail order or by telephone. "CareAlert is a good fit for myNurse clients because many of them live alone and have medical issues," says Nancy Galer, a business development manager for Bayshore Home Health. "They want to feel secure while knowing that help is close to hand." "We're committed to helping Canadians stay safely and remain independent in their own homes as well as in retirement residences for as long as possible," adds Larry Beard, founder of CareAlert Canada. "As part of this commitment, we're always looking for additional services to complement our offerings and myNurse does just that." The program is supported by Bayshore's 18 home care branches that currently provide the myNurse service in Ontario (Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Markham, Oshawa, Hamilton, St. Catharines, Kitchener, Fergus, London, Barrie, Ottawa, Cornwall, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Pembroke, Belleville, Sault Ste. Marie). About CareAlertWhile looking for a reliable, quality-made, simple-to-use emergency dialer without the high price of on-going fees or contracts, Canadian Larry Beard discovered the Smart Dialer, a revolutionary device serving Australians since 2003. To offer Canadians in need the same unbeatable Smart Dialer, Beard founded CareAlert Canada in 2008. For more information visit www.carealertcanada.com.
