Bayshore Home Health opens second office to meet growing home care needs of Ottawa community--Services include in-home nursing care, personal care, home support and more--Ottawa, Ont., Sept. 9, 2008 – Bayshore Home Health, Canada’s largest provider of home and community health care services, announced today the opening of a second office in Ottawa. This new office will focus on providing service directly to the public and to people receiving care through insurance providers and workers’ compensation boards. It will also work with clients who have access to non-Community Care Access Care (CCAC) government funding. Bayshore’s existing location in Ottawa will continue to serve mainly CCAC clients who receive government-funded care. “Bayshore Home Health’s goal is to provide a high level of care that’s designed for each client’s personal needs,” says Joan Raphael, area director for the new office. “Our services include everything from basic companionship to more complex requirements such as palliative care or helping individuals with acquired brain injury.” The Bayshore Home Health office is located at 117 Centrepointe Drive, Suite 210, and offers easy access to professional home care services that can fill a variety of short- and long-term personal care needs and offer an alternative to institutional care. “With an aging population there is an increasing need for home care services, yet many people don’t understand the kind of services that home health care provides,” adds Raphael. “This new office helps to raise awareness and understanding of home health care in the Ottawa area. A free wellness clinic will be held on October 1st from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the new Bayshore Home Health office in Ottawa. Members of the community are invited to attend. Free wellness testing will be offered that includes on-the-spot results for blood pressure, blood cholesterol and random glucose levels.
