Bayshore Therapy & Rehab expands attendant care for MVA survivors
A Bayshore Therapy & Rehab pilot project to expand attendant care for survivors of motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) has received excellent feedback from branches, clients and referral sources since its September launch,” says Marie Graham, Divisional Director. “It’s progressing well at the seven participating branches. We’ll continue rolling this out across Ontario and use what we’re learning in other provinces.”
“For simplicity, referral sources and clients only need to call one toll-free number,” says Katie Schinkel, Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation, who oversees Bayshore’s MVA services in Ontario. The program’s streamlined process means that clients who receive both attendant care and physiotherapy won’t answer duplicate questions or have unnecessary assessments.
