Assured Living launches in the Greater Toronto Area

New partnership between Bayshore HealthCare and Best Buy Canada provides wellness monitoring that enables people to age safely at home.

Toronto, Ontario, [October 29, 2019] — Bayshore HealthCare, one of Canada’s leading home-care providers with over 350,000 clients from coast to coast, is pleased to introduce Assured Living, in partnership with Best Buy Canada to the Greater Toronto Area. Assured Living is a wellness monitoring technology that helps caregivers and family members monitor their loved one’s activities from afar.

Assured Living is a solution for people who want to stay independent while feeling safe and secure in their own home and caregivers who want to be close to their loved ones.  It features discreet sensors in the home to monitor activity such as when someone gets out of bed, opens the front door, or accesses a medicine cabinet. The sensors also notify caregivers when there hasn’t been any movement over time. Activity patterns and wellness summary reports provide insights to help caregivers and their loved ones make informed decisions together regarding care.

Assured Living provides caregivers and their loved ones with access to Bayshore’s Health and Wellness Concierge Program, which connects them to a registered nurse to consult on health issues – including mental health – the details of the health care system and power-of-attorney matters surrounding seniors’ care. Geek Squad Home Membership is included to assist with technical support for connected items.

Assured Living is available to residents across the Greater Toronto Area extending into the Durham, York, Halton, and Peel regions. Services are also available in Vancouver and surrounding areas across British Columbia.
