Written by: Sameen Junejo

Bayshore HealthCare named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies  for 11th straight year

MISSISSAUGA, ON (March 9, 2017) –For the eleventh year in a row, Bayshore HealthCare has earned inclusion on Deloitte’s list of the Best Managed Companies in Canada. Bayshore also received the highest designation, Platinum status, for the fifth consecutive year. The Best Managed designation recognizes Canadian-owned and managed businesses for their demonstration of strategy, capability, and commitment to achieving sustainable growth. The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums.

“The consistent recognition as a Best Managed Company is a result of our 11,000 dedicated employees across 60 branches and 45 clinics in Canada,” said Stuart Cottrelle, President of Bayshore HealthCare. “Employees are empowered to provide input into innovation, process or service concepts regardless of their particular role or location, truly creating a platform of inclusiveness. That’s what puts us among the best in the country.”

While Bayshore’s continued strength is its people, its focus now includes an increased investment in digital health and innovation, patient self-management solutions and patient engagement tools – as well as building on its array of community health services.

“Best Managed Platinum winners have exceptional insights and knowledge into business management practices. They are an inspiration and really take their game to a new level,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

The winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 19, 2017.
