Bayshore HealthCare acquires Gold Cross Home Care
Bayshore HealthCare purchases Hamilton-based Gold Cross Home Care
HAMILTON, ON (5 July 2018) – Bayshore HealthCare announced today that it has acquired Gold Cross Home Care. Founded by Joanne De Rubeis, an RN for over 30 years, Gold Cross has been based in Hamilton for more than 8 years, and has provided home care services in Hamilton, Burlington, Dundas, Ancaster, Stoney Creek and surrounding areas.
“When it came time to consider selling the home care division of the business, I researched home health care in the Hamilton area to find an organization that could continue to service our clients with the same attention to their health that we have been providing throughout our history,” says De Rubeis. “Bayshore HealthCare was the ideal choice.”
As an RN, De Rubeis has had a long term, positive working relationship with Bayshore and has great respect and confidence for the company’s shared mission, vision and values for the best quality of life for all clients.
The sale was completed July 3, 2018 by Bayshore HealthCare. Gold Cross Home Care’s staff and clients will be transferred to Bayshore HealthCare’s Home Health branch in Hamilton.
“As a larger organization with greater resources, we will be able to provide additional supports and services to Gold Cross clients,” adds Stuart Cottrelle, president, Bayshore HealthCare. “We are able to invest in innovation and technology which we can share with Gold Cross clients.”
Gold Cross employees and clients were notified and welcomed by Bayshore Home Health prior to the finalization of the sale.
