MISSISSAUGA, ON – June 25, 2026 – This Canada Day, the Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living is honouring the contributions and sacrifices of those who serve, with a donation to True Patriot Love Foundation in support of Canada’s military personnel.

“Canada Day is an important moment to reflect on the contribution we make to this country and to Canadians,” says John Lawrence, Director of the Bayshore Foundation and Sustainability.  “The Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living’s donation to True Patriot Love and the Captain Nichola Goddard Fund contemplates just that – we are honoured to support Canada’s dedicated service men, women, families and veterans to be their very best.”

The Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living donated $18,000 representing Bayshore HealthCare’s 18,000 team members across the country. The funds will support the Captain Nichola Goddard Fund, which benefits community programs to address the unique needs of servicewomen, female veterans, and their families.

“As a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, I know firsthand the unique challenges servicewomen face, both during their service and when transitioning back to civilian life,” says Sandy Jalonen, Director of Operations for Bayshore Medical Personnel and veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. “We are proud that our donation will help ensure that service women, veterans and their loved ones have access to the health, wellness and the resources they need and deserve.”

“We are grateful to the Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living’s generous contribution to the Captain Nichola Goddard Fund,” says Meighan Bell, Chief Development Officer, True Patriot Love. “The Captain Nichola Goddard Fund supports our proud and strong service women and veterans while recognizing their remarkable leadership, resilience, and the evolving experiences of women in uniform.”
