You do not need to figure that out alone. A Bayshore nurse will meet with you, listen to what is happening and help identify the level and type of support that may be helpful. There is no obligation to begin services after the complementary consultation.

Can home care be publicly funded?

Yes. As an approved service provider in New Brunswick, Bayshore proudly delivers care under all provincially subsidized and funded programs, including the Department of Social Development’s Long Term Care Program and Disability Support Program.

Home care may also be paid for privately, through personal insurance, or through provincial funding programs.

Bayshore can help you understand the available options and the steps involved. Please note that official eligibility and funding approval are determined by the appropriate government program or your insurance provider.

Can I request Bayshore for provincially funded care?

Absolutely. Individuals have the right to identify their preferred approved service provider. We encourage you to ask your case manager, social worker, or referral professional if you can specifically request Bayshore to deliver your care. Will I have the same caregiver each time?

How quickly can care begin?

Timing depends on your needs and location, but we know care is often needed urgently after a fall or hospital stay. Our team responds promptly to clarify your next steps.
