Wendy Hoovers
Clinical Leader (LPN)
Wendy is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 30 years of experience in nursing, including 10 years dedicated to community and home health care. With specialized training in palliative care, dementia care, she brings a deep understanding of the unique needs of clients aging at home.
As a Clinical Manager at Bayshore Home Health, Wendy leads a team of dedicated caregivers and nurses, ensuring each client receives personalized, high-quality care. She works closely with families to create care plans that promote safety, independence, and comfort—always with compassion at the heart of every decision.
Wendy embraces a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on the whole person—not just their medical needs. She believes that building trust, actively listening, and respecting each client’s individual preferences are essential to creating meaningful and effective care plans.
What inspires Wendy most is witnessing the meaningful difference that quality home care can make in a person’s well-being and peace of mind. Her passion is deeply personal—Wendy supported her own mother at home for over five years, helping her avoid long-term care through the support of home health services. This experience continues to fuel her commitment to helping other families navigate aging at home with dignity and comfort.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys cycling, indoor spin classes, yoga (especially yin), gardening, and spending quality time with her family. She’s also actively involved in community volunteering and values building genuine, personal connections with the clients and families she supports.
