How it works – Walter’s Example

Walter, who is 80 years old is admitted to the hospital for cardiac problems. After a few tests, they found he had an ischemic stroke and was treated in the hospital for 10 days. When Walter was discharged from the hospital, his family was very concerned about Walter’s recovery at home by himself. His daughter worked a demanding full-time job and his son lived a few hours away. His family realized that their Dad needed additional help at home for a smooth and successful recovery. With Bayshore’s Enhanced Bundle services, Walter was visited by his assigned personalized caregivers routinely along with an in-home nurse visit mid-month. Through this care bundle, our compassionate team of caregivers helped Walter with preparing nutritious meals, made sure he was eating well and taking his medications, took him out for walks, and communicated regularly with his family on his progress. After a few weeks, Walter regained his strength and confidence and was able to take care of himself with some help from his family.
